Spellbound - spell checking in Firefox

Spelling is not one of my strong points when I am typing furiously on the keyboard to get a new entry into the site. In the past when you went through this site you would see horrendous (yep had to look that up) typo's and spelling mistakes. But then I found a superb spell checking extension to Firefox, my browser of choice, called Spellbound. It was great just like using the Mac's built in spell checker. To use Spellbound you right clicked in any text input box on a web page, including and especially in my Moveable Type content entry fields, and it would bring up a small screen spell check the words and underline any that were dodgy. You then clicked on the words and it gave you options of the ability to retype. When you were finished you clicked a button and it would re-input your text back into the text field you had spell checked. Fantastic! What more could you want! My prose was in English now, my stories made sense and could be read without people getting upset and leaving horrid comments and the search engines loved me.

Then I upgraded Firefox to 1.5 and Spellbound no longer worked! My spelling got worse and its all doom and gloom. Spellbound may have been so good that no one else bothered to build a spell check extension for Firefox. If only I could programme myself I would gladly update Spellbound (and you know I'm saying that because I can't do it!).

Work may have ceased on Spell bound because Firefox might be getting a built in Spell Checker!
