England boo'd off the field at Twickenham

I know because I was there. I was one of the England fans at Twickenham doing the booing - a situation I would have thought impossible a few years ago. England was atrocious. Argentina's game was pretty pedestrian and lacked any real flair but they were so much better than Robinson’s latest offering. We had a few beers and a curry afterwards but that was the only highlight of a miserable day. Next day was Remembrance Sunday and I recalled an England team that won the World cup 3 years ago - it was not the team I saw on Saturday. The RFU have spent millions on the South stand - lots of extra seats. That will be very useful for big rock concerts but a total waste of money if they are expecting England fans to fill them in future.

Update!

I was told by a friend today that the TV commentators were annoyed at the booing coming from the crowd for an Argentinian penalty kick in the second half. It was not the Argentinians that were being boo'd - they did nothing wrong. There was a refereeing decision which some may have disagreed with but the main target was the England team for allowing such an easy give-away penalty at such a vital time in the game. On reading the programme I saw that the Pumas had no vice captain - England had 3. What's that all about? Shabby.
