Search for Steve Fossett

Today I received an email from Amazons Mechanical Turk system asking me to participate in the search for missing aviator Steve Fossett. I have spent quite a bit of time today helping search for Steve and this is one of the most powerful and ground breaking events I have yet seen on the web. Satellites have been photographing Nevada in high detail for the search but there will be millions of images to look through so Amazons Mechanical Turk allows people to look at each image and make a decision about if further investigation is required or not and this is how I am helping to search for Steve Fossett thousands of miles away from where he went missing.

For more information please visit: www.mturk.com.

Naturally I cannot get to the site at work to spend 30 mins of my lunch break looking for Steve because our internal '1984 system' WebSense blocks the site stating that it is in a Pay-to-Surf;Productivity category which IT security here don't want me looking at..
