Sexy Margaret Thatcher?- no no no!

Just spotted a great story on the Beeb "How the brain recognises a face" but unfortunatly the researchers used a morph between portaits to find out how we rocognise people. "An image which is 40% Marilyn and 60% Maggie will be seen as the "sexier" side of Margaret Thatcher, say the researchers". Is this some evil form of torture?

HDTV - not in the UK

When are we in the UK going to get High Definition Television? The US and Japan and now rolling the equipment and programes out but not here. Major sporting events are already being shot in high definition but we get a low definition broadcast. I know that the US needs HDTV because thier picture quality is pants but why can't we have it as well?

I just popped over to 456 Berea Street and Roger has pondered on a subject that I have spent a while on as well - floating images in body text. He has come up with an elegant solution - which I immediatly put to use on my site. Brilliant! I wish I had thought of it!

Treo 650 Quad band

I want one of these!!! Not yet available in the UK although the dual band is now out in the US but Palm are saying soon for the Quad. My Palm Tungsten W has never been reliable so the writing on the wall! Come on Palm - get the Quad Band Treo 650 released asap!
