Zurich Premiership Final 2004
I went to English rugby's Zurich Premiership Final with my chums. Excellent day out at Twickenham where there were also three supporting matches.
I went to English rugby's Zurich Premiership Final with my chums. Excellent day out at the hallowed ground where there were also three supporting matches, including the Heineken Wiild card play off between Sale and Leicester. Jason Robinson scored a superb try for Sale but it was the man mountain Martin Johnson's team who dominated the match and will be playing in Europe next season, with Neil Back touching down twice for man of the match.
The final itself was a mamoth battle of whits and strength with Wasps utterly failing in the line out but they came through with some superb back row play and solid defensive team work to deny a very determined Bath side. The Bath supporters were very vocal and put us local Londoners to shame and there were so many of them that I suspect Bath was a ghost town. A great day out and my thanks to Nick.
