Simon and music
I believe mucic is a very personal thing. Each of us responds to music in different ways at different times. What we listen too has been shaped by our upbringing, probably what friends were listening, what we heard on the radio, in clubs, on films and manu other sources.
Never ever apologise for your music choices. But also don't impose them on others - they are on a different journey.
Here is a bit of my music history.
iPod years
The greatest music discovery for me was when I was given my first iPod - the shuffle function was a revelation. It meant I had kind of a radio station of the music I loved not knowing what would come up next.
Spotify took this a step further and brought me music I had never heard before. I was able to discover new bands and artists that would have otherwise passed me by. I'm not interested in other people music tastes because if they are anything like mine then they will change a lot depending on the mood I am in, or want to be in. It is all so very personal. Despite this - here is my listening history. I'm not sure it will be of any use to anyone except me and it will surprise me more than others!
Simon's Spotify music history
I joined Spotify on: 2009-09-07 10:12:50.110757 - this is the date on the emailed receipt for my first months subscription. The free service in the UK did not come out till February 2010.
