Kathleen Godfrey 1911-2003
Paula and I attended my gran's funeral yesterday. A sombre affair but a good turn out and some hearty singing followed by some hearty reminiscing and drinking back at Barnfield. Dad even let me have some of his very special malt whisky.
A reflective thought of mine during the day was that Gran had lived through an amazing time in human development. She was born on a farm during the height of the industrial revolution and lived to see the beginnings of the current technological evolution. She had a hard but great life and will be missed by us all.
